No matter how many times we or anyone else tell them that since it turned into a show rather than a race, true fans will disappear but occasionally casual fans (the ones Nascar now wants to have and please) will maybe attend a couple of shows and maybe watch 1 or 2 on tv.  As long as the last ten races are at 8 tracks that Knaus and Johnson excel at, we will keep going through the same thing.  Race season is over at Richmond after the 26th race.  But is it really a season when drivers like JJ don't race hard or seriously in those 26?  They do just enough to stay in the top 12.  And to think Dale Jarrett started this whole type of racing when he was the first to sort of hang around in the back until close to the finish and then "start to do his racing" for the day...
